Poetry

It's a deep thing; very self expressing. A great place to go to when things happen (other than Jesus) and can find some relief. Just write some poetry, it doesn't have to be pro, but keep it anyways so you have a reference point.

State so far.

Individuals went well. I got 4th on floor. So now it's just the team competition left And we're done. I hope that I can end my senior year with a bang and another championship under my belt.

I recommend this song to anyone who is open to a great message. There is also an awesome drama skit to it on youtube.

Basically the skit is about a girl who dances with Christ and all is well. Then a boy comes in and steals her away from the good road. Then she starts to sin and fall, until she realizes she is doing wrong and repents, sprinting back to the one only perfect relationship she has ever had. The sins still try to pull her down, but God always triumphs.

This is a very good analogy of the current troubles that teens face on a daily basis. Every time I listen to this song I get goosebumps at the climb of intensity and when all of the instruments and voices come together. It's breathtaking.

Revolution

My youth group prayed for me tonight that I'd have a solid time at state and to be the better person and in one's words to ''dominate''. This really touched me because I've never really had any big group pray for me. I now have the confidence of a champion and no one is going to bring me down.

Friendship--more than Gold.

Totally has its meaning.  At camp this summer I met my true friends who I can talk to about any situation. They totally understand it and help me out with my problems. They're worth more than gold in my eyes, and in each other's eyes. I am super excited to work with them this summer to grow in our friendship and learn more about each other, while growing Spiritually with God.  He brings the best of people in your lives for a reason, and this is mine:

since I was a loner, I was always welcomed at camp.  I always made a new friend every year, and it didn't matter how many I made as long as I made at least one. And they are the ones sticking by me to this very day.  

I try to find friends who are right for me by what their interests are and if they go to any churches or youth groups.  If so, and if they are truely interested in what the youth group stands for, I try my best to have multiple Christian friends like that who can stick by me wherever I go and whatever happens to me.

Christians rock.

Best Day Ever.

Great Spongebob episode--anyways. I had a meet today and it went swimmingly.  I qualified for the state meet on beam, vault and floor. Places I got were 4th on beam, 3rd on vault and 1st on floor.  Team score was a 146.45, which is a new school record. CHYEAH YEAH! 

We kindof rocked the house.

The Pursuit of Perfection.

It's not always easy, especially in the world of sports.  There is always someone better than you, and always someone who is working less than you and getting more recognition for it.  It's sometimes considered "not fair", but what is "fair" in today's society?  America today isn't honest--for the majority--and for those who are honest and work their hardest, this is a shout-out to you.  Because I've been there and done that.  I can tell multiple stories on my childhood but I won't because this isn't the place for some of them, but I have the experience of a true "shaft" person and can relate to some of those likewise.  

Now I am on Varsity and am one of the most consistent team members we have.  All thanks to hard work and honesty.  And of course a little help from the big Man Himself, Jesus Christ.  A prayer can go a long way.

 

Candyrat.com

So, Candyrat.com is an uber awesome site where there is so many good guitar players.  It's all finger-style guitar (for those who aren't all that guitar "savvy", it's kindof like the August Rush music--all the time) and there are some artists who sing and some who play the electric guitar.  It's a great station to chill to while doing--just about anything.  So yeah, I'd suggest it to anyone who is open to awesome chillaxing music.

Grasasspareme

Pretty much amazing. It was inspired by a hot day next to a store called "Riverwalk Mercantile" and pops beyond imagination. It was a wild time, me with my brother and friends, so we--being our incredibly intelligent selves-- decide to mix an uber awesome concoction and entitled it "Grasasspareme".  It is the best thing since sliced bread on a hot summer's day.
